First Friday came and went with nothing happening at the Sharrott Creek Gallery. We decided to close the place effective May 31st. No sense in paying $1K rent each month when only a handful of people show up and even fewer spend any money. Oh well. Life does go on. Made room at home for the Epson 9900 printer by selling my pool table. Now the game room has a very long desk, a monstrous printer, and two looms in it. Stay tuned for what comes next in the on-going saga.

Can't Upload
For some reason, I can't seem to upload any submissions today. Maybe dA feels that the work I'm submitting isn't up to standards? Or maybe the connection is bad, although both my e-mail and Facebook seem to work just fine. Hmm. Frustrating, to say the least.
13 Miles from Paradise, part 1
Just posted my first blog entry of 2013, in fact my first since Thanksgiving 2012. All about how we ended up in our new house, with several photos (well 6) that haven't been posted on dA, I think. If you'd like to learn more about the process, visit the blog at: http://mtbearded1s.blogspot.com/2013/02/13-miles-from-paraduse.html

2012, ave atque vale
I just posted "The Last Decent Photo of 2012." In actuality, I took two photos after the one posted, but both were taken through the window of a moving vehicle, and didn't turn out well in the poor light of the day. In total, I took 3,645 photographs using my Nikon D80 during 2012. This does not include those photos taken with my iPhone or my iPad. The photos were taken across a wide swath of the United States, from California in the west to Maryland in the east and from Montana in the north to Mississippi in the south. I also took pictures in two Canadian Provinces: British Columbia and Alberta. I'm so fortunate to live in such a beaut

That's a shame. I suppose when things are bad it's art that suffers. Movies and music and books seem to fair better but I guess a painting or sculture or textile piece is a bigger investment than those. It's a pity....there are a lot of talented people like yourself who should have more support.
